Monterey Bay Aquarium's Cooking for Solutions Hits the Road
New "Cooking for Solutions on the Road" series kicks off on April 25 in Napa Valley with "An Afternoon at The Hess Collection"

The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s popular Cooking for Solutions culinary events will be popping up in locations across California this year. The new “Cooking for Solutions on the Road” series brings together chefs, artisans and producers to celebrate Earth-friendly food and wine at its source, and connect our food choices with the health of the ocean.
The first event in the series is April 25 at The Hess Collection in Napa, a vineyard and winery that has been a leader in sustainable farming and production practices for decades. The elegant strolling lunch, set in The Hess Collection’s world-class contemporary art gallery, will feature delectable dishes created by the following celebrity chefs and artisans – each of whom have made a commitment to serving sustainable cuisine:
- Chad Hendrickson (Executive Chef, The Hess Collection)
- Michael Cimarusti (Providence and Connie & Ted’s, Los Angeles)
- Justin Cogley (Aubergine, Carmel)
- Jeff Jake (Silverado Resort & Spa, Napa Valley)
- John Fink (The Whole Beast, San Francisco)
- Darren McRonald (The Pullman Kitchen, Santa Rosa)
- Armando Navarro (El Dorado Kitchen, Sonoma)
- Rodney Worth (The Pear Southern Bistro, Napa)
- Hog Island Oyster Company (Marshall)
- Cowgirl Creamery (Point Reyes Station)
Guests will sample small bites, some made with ingredients grown right on the vineyard, meet The Hess Collection’s winemaking team to learn about their sustainable practices, and savor tastes of small lot releases offered only at the winery.
