Stay and Play during “Evenings by the Bay”

Jun 23, 2016

“Summerge” yourself this summer during Evenings by the Bay, at the world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium.  Visitors can stay and play until 8 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday from July 2 through Labor Day weekend and groove to live music, unwind in front of the million-gallon Open Sea exhibit or roam the aquarium’s newest special exhibition, “¡Viva Baja! Life on the Edge,” with wine in hand and without the daytime crowds.

The Marine Mammal Gallery fills with live musical performances by a different band each week for Unleashed Saturdays. Each Sunday, some of the Monterey Peninsula’s most talented professional jazz musicians will set the mood. A no-host bar offers beer, wine and spirits, and sustainable bites can be purchased in the cafe. Each Saturday the food will reflect a special theme - like a Fourth of July barbecue on July 2, or a taste of Baja California on July 23.

To show appreciation for the local community, the aquarium is offering a special promotion. During “Evenings by the Bay” locals from Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties pay only $25 per adult, $20 per senior or student, and $15 per child.
