Cooking for Solutions Celebration on June 6 and 7

Discover delicious ways to live an ocean-friendly lifestyle at the first Cooking for Solutions Weekend in 2015

May 19, 2015

Highlights of the 2015 “Cooking for Solutions World Oceans Day Celebration” include:

Celebrate the oceans and all they provide during a festive Cooking for Solutions weekend honoring World Oceans Day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. On Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7 enjoy special activities including live music, cooking demonstrations,  family crafts, sustainable seafood samplings, special talks with our aquarists, and much more – all included with aquarium admission.

Sustainable Foods Celebration

This year’s celebration will also incorporate favorite Cooking for Solutions ticketed events from past years, like chef-led Food & Wine Adventures to culinary destinations in Monterey county. Celebrity chefs will host festive parties, a champagne celebration, and a reimagined Talk & Taste series of intimate salons and cooking demonstrations. Each event will celebrate sustainable foods from land and sea – and all are designed to help participants connect their food choices to the health of the ocean.

The Prelude and The Party

On June 6, the aquarium will transform into a one-of-a-kind underwater nightclub and lounge. Stay up as the stars come out over the bay for late-night dancing, drinks and ocean friendly bites at The Party with Carla Hall.

All exhibits are included with aquarium admission: $39.95 adult; $34.95 senior (over 65) and student (full-time college, with I.D.); $24.95 children; under 3 free.

Full event details, prices and biographies of participating Cooking for Solutions chefs are available online at Tickets and information are also available by calling 866-963-9645.
