Día del Niño (April 24)
Live Latin American cultural performances, bilingual animal feeding shows, a craft room and more are part of our annual celebration of children and families. Join us! Children 12 and under will be admitted free all day.

World Ocean Day Celebration (June 4 & 5)
Celebrate the health of the global ocean at this spring’s World Ocean Day weekend, focused on the amazing ecosystem that covers 70% of our planet. You’ll learn about the living treasures of the ocean, the threats it faces and what we can do to keep it healthy. On Saturday, join us for our annual Paul Walker Ocean Leadership Award Ceremony.

Evenings by the Bay – Saturdays & Sundays (July 2 – September 4)
Spend your summer evenings by the sea and enjoy extended hours until 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights. Enjoy sustainable food and wine tastings and special programs, all while listening to live music and hanging out with your favorite animals.

Make it Sustainable Celebration (October 1 & 2)
#MakeItSustainable all weekend long at our fall Cooking for Solutions event, complete with celebrity book signings, cooking demonstrations and sustainable food tastings from land and sea. The festivities continue throughout the weekend with our ticketed event, including a late-night dance party on Saturday night.

Fiesta del Mar (October 16)
Latin American traditions come alive during this celebration of ocean conservation! With live music, cultural dance, animal feedings presented bilingually and crafts for kids, there’s something for every member of the family to enjoy. Children 12 and under will be admitted free all day.

Community Open House (December 3-11)
The Aquarium offers free admission for residents of Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. Visitors must present a photo ID and proof of residence at the main entrance. Current student identification from colleges and universities in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties, and current utility bills showing residence are also valid proof of residence.
